We provide a comprehensive histopathology service and are able to handle referrals from all specialties. Both routine and special stains are performed. The referring clinicians also have direct access to the consultant pathologist reporting their case for advice and discussion.

We provide a comprehensive diagnostic cytopathology service, although with the exception of gynae cytology. This includes Fine Needle Aspiration cytology and body fluids from various sites in the body.

We offer comprehensive immunohistochemistry interpretation which complements the traditional routine pathology service. This partly involves the use of specialist laboratories which must also be CPA or UKAS accredited.
This is becoming an increasingly important aspect of pathology reporting and can be crucial in more complex cases.

TPS works closely with UCL Advanced Diagnostics, who perform molecular diagnostic testing.
The Oncotype DX Breast Cancer test can also be arranged alongside Genomic Health. This is the only test incorporated in published ASCO® and NCCN® breast cancer treatment guidelines for patients with node-negative breast cancer that is oestrogen-receptor positive and/or progesterone-receptor positive.
